QEST Nursery @ Crown Meadow is a new purpose built nursery for children aged 3 – 5 years.  We are registered to accept Nursery Education Funding and therefore provide 15 hours free Nursery sessions for your child from the term after their 3rd Birthday, extra hours are charged at £4 per hour.  Your funded hours can be shared between any other childcare provider of your choice.  We are happy to discuss and support parents needs.

We provide an environment for your child that meets their needs as a learner by giving them the opportunity to develop through child initiated free flow play and adult led activities.  We will get to know your child as an individual and plan activities around their interests to ensure they feel valued, safe and secure.

It is important to us at QEST that we have a close relationship with parents, as after all you are the main care giver.  You have an open invitation to pop into the nursery whenever you would like.  The QEST team are qualified and experienced and will ensure that your child learns and develops within the guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Parents will be required to complete a registration pack prior to their child starting the club, this includes a booking form from the parents information booklet (as above) and an admin form.  This will enable the team to always have the relevant information on all of the children in our care.   We will ask you to update this form at regular intervals to ensure the most accurate information.

Activities

All activities will be well planned and organised by our experienced and qualified team. The team will look to plan around the seasons and celebrations such as Easter/Spring and will stimulate and encourage the children in a fun way whilst they learn new skills.

The QEST team plan alongside the school staff to ensure continuity in all things that we do. Activities are aimed at encouraging the children’s own independence and are expected to stretch a child’s developing mind and encourage thinking and reasoning. We take a lot of pictures in the nursery and will often show them on the overhead projector for the children to enjoy and to show parents when they come to collect the children.

You are welcome to ask the staff team about the activities and offer help and support with your own experiences or resources you would like to share with the children.
